Raices Cubanas, as the name suggests, was born from true Cuban roots. The Fábrica de Tabacos Raíces Cubanas factory was established on May 5th, 2003, in Danlí, Honduras by Romay Endemaño, his wife Maria (Lipa), and their son Hugo Endemaño. With a deep-seated heritage in Cuba's tobacco industry, the Endemaño family continued their legacy in Miami before setting out to create something of their own in Honduras.

Ralph Montero, also a native Cuban, came to the US in 1970 and began working in his uncle's cigar distribution business shortly after high school. With family ties to Cuba's thriving pre-revolution tobacco trade, Ralph's passion for cigars has spanned decades, contributing to the creation of several distinguished brands.

The paths of the Endemaños and Montero crossed in 1998, forming a bond that has only grown stronger over the years. From that first meeting to countless collaborations, they've shared a dedication to producing exceptional cigars. Today, we're excited to announce the official partnership between the Endemaño family and Ralph Montero, bringing together their experience, craftsmanship, and heritage.
