Fratello's third release the Oro is their first blend produced at La Aurora.
The new line marks the first time that Omar de Frias has used an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, something that he says gives the company a cigar that is mild to medium with a creamy aftertaste “but that also embodies the true nature of our company which is full flavor cigars.” Underneath that wrapper is a Cameroon binder with Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers.
“We decided to take this project back to my homeland the Dominican Republic and work with La Aurora, one of the oldest cigar factories in the country,” de Frias noted. After meeting with Guillermo León and Manuel Inoa last year and discussing interest in using some of the factory’s tobaccos, “they opened their doors to their tobacco and manufacturing facility giving me free rein to explore and blend with their amazing inventory,” he added.
This is an icredibly flavorful mild cigar, that coats the palate
