Tatuaje Black Label Private Reserve cigars spawned from a prolific trip to a certain island, 90 miles south of Florida… Here, brand owner Pete Johnson was given a private blend made by one of the locals. Pete enjoyed this smoke throughout his visit, eventually classifying it as among the best cigars he ever smoked. And upon his return, he sought to emulate the sophisticated nuances of this special blend.

Teaming with his usual cohorts (the famed Garcia family), Pete modeled his own personal blend after the Cuban blend he enjoyed during his stay. The cigar would eventually make it to market in various limited edition and small batch projects, known as the Tatuaje Private Reserve (Black Label).
